I have been practicing massage therapy since 1994. I specialize in supporting your overall wellness through the combination of focused muscular work to prevent or recover from injuries and pain along with creating a peaceful state of mind during the session. I trained in Deep Tissue and Trigger Point (Neuromuscular Therapy) with Retta Flagg at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, and in Shiatsu with Stephanie Ulmer at the UPMC Center for Integrative Medicine.
I chose the name Body Harmony to express two principles: Everything in our body works together to create wellness. I look at the whole – how different parts of the body interact through balance and imbalance, and refer pain and other sensations. I also help people recognize how their job, recreation, sleep habits, and everything they do affects their muscles and how they feel. As a long-time massage instructor, I have a ongoing love of understanding the health of the human body. Please visit my blog to see what’s new and interesting.
Body Harmony also means using the healing power of music to release tension on all levels.
